HGV 1 Driver Nights
Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV 1 Night Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safe driving practices, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining company standards.
The hours of work are as required by the needs of the business, Monday to Friday, having regard for the restrictions on drivers’ hours as laid down by the Road Traffic Acts and the Working Time Regulations.
Start times range between 17:30 to 18:30, average shift length 11 hrs, based in our Wrexham depot.
The salary for this position is made up as below;
Basic £44,990
Bonuses £3,250
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate an HGV 1 vehicle, transporting goods to the various hubs
Ensure deliveries are made within required timeframes.
Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and road safety standards at all times.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers during deliveries.
Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Hours of Work: MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Duration: Permanent
Desired Skills, Required Skills and Abilities:
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Digital Tachograph card and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
Previous experience in a similar driving role is preferred
Good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A clean driving record (with no more than 6 penalty points on the licence).
